Organization

The platform is a cluster of five business organizations in which forestry entrepreneurs are united:
- the Associatie van Bos-Exploitanten (ABE);
- the Algemene Surinaamse Hout Unie (ASHU);
- the Vereniging Surinaams Bedrijfsleven (VSB);
- the Associatie van Surinaamse Fabrikanten (ASFA);
- the Kamer van Koophandel en Fabrieken (KKF).

Since its establishment, the Platform has been a valued partner in various developments in the forestry sector in Suriname, both for the local government and in formulating and implementing international (donor) programs for research and development.
