Graduation Day Training Tropenbos Suriname
In October 2005, more than 40 persons started with a training, within the scope of ‘capacity building’ of those in the forest sector. The students were from both the public and private sectors. Interactively, they were provided with the knowledge on forest and timber certification, the wood industry, forest policy and nature conservation. But attention was also paid to skills such as project management, research methods, and communication skills.
This is one of the first projects of the Institute Tropenbos Suriname. This training called "Transfer Of Knowledge For The Development Of Skills To Design Forestry Documents," was festively closed on Thursday 26 April 2006. On this evening, speeches included those by a representative of Tropenbos Suriname and the chairman of the PHS, among others.
Six people who have completed the full trajectory of the trainings, held their final presentations. This was followed by the certificate distribution to the students; 30 were given a certificate of attendance, 18 a certificate of graduation and 6 received a certificate of graduation with distinction
